More Roller Skating!

We had fun at the Cub Scout roller skating party tonight! I really enjoy rollerskating and it was a good workout.  Edison didn't need much help this time and he just used the training bar to get around.  He wasn't interested in trying by himself this time.  Maybe soon!  It might be time for me to dust off my roller blades in the garage.....=)

Rollerskating

Edison had fun rollerskating for the first time!  He has a Cub Scout rollerskating party coming up on Friday, so I thought we could go and get some practice beforehand.  He made it once around the rink by holding onto the wall (and me) and then I decided to get him a training bar to skate with.  That worked much better for him and he was able to get around the rink better.  He still fell a few times, but he was a real trooper and kept getting back up to try again.  I think he's ready for the party on Friday!  =)

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Schultz and Katie's Graduation Party

Grandma and Grandpa Schultz came to stay for a few days at our house.  Edison had a great time showing off his toys, playing games, and reading to Grandma.  He liked when Grandma and Grandpa came with to pick him up from school, too!  At Katie's graduation party, Edison was happy to see the bounce house, which he loves.  He also brought his scooter and had fun riding up and down the block in between the rain showers.  It was a fun week!

Game against the Cubs on Monday

Edison had another game on Monday and it started out with Edison striking out a few times.  At his last at-bat, he hit the ball really well and got a hit!  His teammates helped him out and got him around the bases and he scored his first run of the year.  Because of his late game hit, the coach gave him one of the game balls as a reward.  He was very proud and excited!

May the Fourth be With You!

(I tried posting this the other day and just noticed it didn't go through!  Whoops!)

We had a fun time meeting up with some geocachers for a May the Fourth lightsaber balloon fight.  Edison had a blast trying to attack me and Dad with his lightsaber.  =)  Later that afternoon, Edison had a baseball game and everyone played well!  Edison got a couple hits and his team ended up winning!  It was a fun Saturday!

1st and 2nd Grade Spring Music Concert

Edison did a wonderful job in his concert!  He had a speaking part this year and delivered his lines very well.  The theme was forest animals and Edison decided to dress up like a raccoon.  Grandma Turner and Vanessa came to see his show and he was excited to have them there!
