A fun little trip to Missouri!

Brian was out of town this weekend on a caching trip with friends, so Edison and I decided to drive to Missouri to visit the Hahn family.  Grandma Turner came with us, too.  We headed out of town on Friday evening and stopped about halfway to stay at a hotel for the night.  We got back on the road in the morning and arrived just after lunch.  The first afternoon we spent out on the lake on Liz and Jeremy's boat.  Edison was so excited and wanted to drive it first thing!  We rode around for a while, then anchored the boat by the beach and had fun swimming, cooking out, and playing in the sand.  The weather started to change after a while, so we didn't get a chance to do any tubing but Edison had fun just hanging out in the tube in the water anyway.  The boys had fun fishing off the side of the boat for a little while, but no one caught anything.  The clouds kept rolling in and once it started to rain a bit, we headed back for the dock.

The next day we enjoyed a lazy morning and then a visit from Grandpa Turner.  He brought his laptop, so the boys had fun playing his train game.  We had a yummy brunch with homemade sausage gravy and biscuits.  So good!!  After Grandpa left, we went over to Jeremy's Grandma's house to go swimming.  We found a cute little frog in the pool that Edison was shocked to see.  He was even more shocked when Emmett and Nathan were holding it!  You can tell he doesn't have much experience with wildlife.  =)  I tried to get him to hold it, but he didn't want to.  He thought he would be slimy.  I held the little guy, and he was really sweet!

On Monday, Liz and Jeremy headed off to work and Grandma Turner and I took the kids to Jump Mania to hop around in the bounce houses, then to Chuck E Cheese for some pizza and fun.  They had tons of fun playing the games and eating pizza and ice cream and everyone was tired when we got back.  That night we went to Lamberts for dinner.  It's a fun restaurant where they are constantly throwing rolls around for you to catch.  They were yummy! After dinner, the kids played outside and Uncle Jeremy decided to show us how they have fun in Missouri by lighting some gun powder in the driveway.  Edison thought it was awesome!

We came back home yesterday and Edison is back at camp today.  It was a fun little trip, but I'm exhausted!  =)

Champoinship Game!

Edison played that last game of the season last night against the Brewers.  Unfortunately, they did not win, but it was a close one!  The Brewers came out swinging and got three runs right off the bat.  They scored a couple more the second inning. Our boys came back to score some runs later in the game, but it wasn't enough. It ended up being 6-4 Brewers at the end.  But they had an awesome season and should be very proud of everything they did!  Edison was sad because he made the last out of the game and was afraid that he "lost the game for everybody."  We told him that it was no ones "fault" and the Brewers just had better hitting and pitching that day.  It was a close game at the end, and it just didn't go their way this time.  The boys seemed excited to get their trophies at the end, and had fun pelting the coach with water after the game.  It was a great season!

 Ready to play!
