Civil War Days in Wauconda

Over the weekend we visited the Civil War Days at a forest preserve not too far from us.  We walked through the different booths, visited the museum, met President Lincoln, visited with one of my knitting group friends who had a booth set up, and watched a battle reenactment.  The guns and cannons were really loud, but it was fun to watch!  It was a nice afternoon and we went out for yummy ice cream afterwards.

Summer Fun

I really haven't been keeping up with the blog this summer!  Edison has had a lot of fun so far.  He goes to camp everyday where he swims, plays outside games, and goes on field trips.  He's been having a blast!  Over the weekends we are always busy with all sorts of stuff, going to the beach, visiting Santa's Village, riding bikes, and going on an overnight trip to the Indiana Dunes with his friends while Brian and I celebrated our anniversary.. Here are a bunch of pictures from the summer so far!
