Welcome to our home, Riff and Raven!

We got two new kittens on Thursday night!  We went looking last weekend and filled out an application to adopt these little girls.  It was taking a few days for them to call us back to let us know if we were accepted, so I called the shelter.  They said, "They are ready to go home now, when can you pick them up?"  So we left a few minutes later.  =)

They are so sweet and playful!  Magpie isn't real pleased, but the kittens mostly ignore her.  There has been some hissing, but it's not too bad and hopefully it won't take too long for everyone to get a long.  The kittens are sisters, so they have grown up together.  Edison is excited to have some new kittens in the house, too.  They like to cuddle!

Whoops, here are the Easter Pics!

I -knew- I would forget to post the Easter pictures.  =)  Better late than never!!!

Edison had fun looking for eggs all around the house in the morning! I think this was the first year he didn't have pajamas on during the egg hunt.  He's growing up!

 He liked going through his Easter basket filled with candy, Mad Lib books, and a new Calvin and Hobbes book!  He didn't want to color eggs this year; he said he was too old! 

Spring Break Fun!

Edison enjoyed his Spring Break!  We spent a couple nights at Key Lime Cove in Gurnee, saw a movie, went bowling, built Legos, played outside, and had an egg hunt at Pump it Up with friends.  It went very quickly and Edison is not ready to go back to school yet!  =)
