Demolition Derby at Lake County Fair

Edison was very excited to see some demolition derby at the Fair this year.  In previous years we saw monster trucks and figure 8 racing, so this was a little different.  The first few races were exciting with a lot of crashing, but we were kind of disappointed at the end.  They didn't have much of a finale, but Edison still enjoyed seeing the wreckage!

Summerfest

Brian and I had a nice little get-away to Milwaukee to see some bands at Summerfest and to do a little caching on the way.  The weather was perfect, and we had a nice time taking in the beautiful views.  The concert was great, too, and we got to see a little bit of some bands at the end that we thought we might miss.  A very nice trip!!

Weird Al Concert

Edison had a blast at his first rock concert! He was SO excited to see Weird Al and very happy to hear a whole bunch of his favorite songs. Al puts on a great show!! I lost count how many times he changed clothes. But it was a lot.  We had nice seats on the floor and were able to see everything going on.  In between songs they played clips and videos on the big screen, which Edison thought was hilarious.  He also found out that Weird Al has voiced some characters in some of his favorite cartoons!  It was a really fun night!
