Colorado Trip, June 2013

What a fun vacation to Estes park, CO!  The scenery was gorgeous and we had a blast seeing the sights and exploring the town.  I think Edison's favorite part was riding the steam train in Georgetown towards the end of our trip.  That was cool.  I liked taking a car ride up Trail Ridge Road, which is the highest continuous paved road in the United States.  It gets up to over 12,000 feet elevation!  Edison wasn't too fond of that trip towards the end.  He was feeling pretty car sick after all the ups, downs, twists, and turns.  But it was a beautiful ride!

We also did a lot of caching on this trip and Brian was able to add 3 states to his list!  On Sunday we did a road trip to Wyoming and Nebraska just so that he could grab a couple caches.  We did get to see some neat things on the way.  This was Edison's first bout of car sickness, probably due to the altitude change.  Poor kid.  But after a while he was fine enough to climb all over some rocks!  =)

We also took a fire truck tour from the Stanley Hotel, rode on an aerial tram, climbed some rocks, took a nice walk around Lake Estes, soaked in the hot tub, visited some nice restaurants, shopped in downtown Estes Park, and had lots of yummy desserts!  On our anniversary we left Estes Park and headed out to Denver, stopping at the steam train on the way.  We saw a Rockies game that night and left for the airport the next morning.  We were all exhausted by the end of the trip, but we had a very nice time!

These pictures are out of order, but there are just too many to try and figure it all out.  Sorry!
