Edison had a VERY busy month of May! Sorry I haven't been keeping up with posts on the blog, but it seems like we are always doing something! I'll try to keep up this summer, but we have a lot planned. =)
First, Edison had a great time ziplining with the boy scouts for the first time! He said is was a lot of fun but the camping part was freezing! The boys who went earned the coveted "Polar Bear Patch" for camping when the temps hit below freezing. They woke up to a layer of ice in a plate. Brrr!
Grandma and Grandpa Schultz came out for a visit and we all bundled up to watch Brian's softball game. I even had to grab a blanket from the car to cuddle up in! Another cold day in May!
For Mother's Day weekend, we visited the Morton Arboretum and enjoyed walking around and viewing the large "origami" sculptures. Edison also liked climbing through the tree house and walking on the stepping stones.
On Mother's Day we visited a nice waterfall in a forest preserve, and although the water was pretty chilly, Edison enjoyed climbing around and exploring the rocks. Afterwards we headed to the Hatfield's house for some yummy lunch and more visiting time with Grandma and Grandpa Schultz!
Edison got his braces this month, too! He wasn't very pleased, but did an okay job at the orthodontist. I think he looks rather cute!
To cap off the month, we had a birthday party for Grandma Turner and the Hahn family was able to celebrate with us! The kids had a lot of fun playing outside and had a blast climbing around in a huge box. The weather was really nice, and we all enjoyed the visit!
