Six Flags

Edison and I had fun at Six Flags for Fright Fest with some friends.  He went on some new rides he hadn't tried before, but stayed away from the rollercoasters except for the Whizzer, which he loves!  He also enjoyed "winning" a Freddy Bear from Five Nights at Freddy's (ask him about the game and he will talk your ear off!) We each played Wack-a-mole twice to win it.  We played against each other and 2 wins gave you the bigger prize.  So it cost $20, which is what he would have spent in the gift shop (at least!) so I gave in and we played.  It was a fun day!  We cut it a little short because lightening was spotted, but we were getting tired anyway.  He can't wait to go back!

Edison Camping/CubsGame

Edison decided to go camping with Boy Scouts on his own one weekend. Brian and I then had some free time so we spent Friday night playing disc golf and going out for donuts, and then Saturday we went to the Cubs game.  It was a beautiful day, even if the Cubs did decide to lose that day.  We had a lot of fun!  Edison enjoyed camping and we only have a few pictures, but he enjoyed cutting down small bushes, trees, and weeds for a service project, and even helped with dinner by cutting onions and stirring the sauce for the spaghetti dinner.  Yep, they had spaghetti on a camp out.  These kids can cook!  =)

Disc Golf!

Brian started playing disc golf and Edison and I joined him a few times to play.  It's a fun family activity and we have tried out a few different courses.  It's definitely harder than it looks to play!  My disc likes to fly all over the place!  Edison seems to enjoy it (most of the time) too and has improved a lot!  I'm sure he will be beating me in no time!
