On Monday, Liz and I took the 3 older boys to Silver Dollar City in Branson for the day. Edison and I had never been there and it was a lot of fun! Emmett and Nathan showed us some of their favorite rides, and Edison and I even tried a pretty scary one on our own, too! I even found a knit store inside the park! It was a really awesome, and HOT, day!
On Wednesday, everyone went to camp, and Edison and I had the morning to just relax and hang out. Then we met up with Liz and the older campers at the local pool for some swimming fun. It was so hot outside, that even I spent the whole time in the water and didn't knit a stitch! =)
Thursday was another fun day! While the kids were at camp, Edison and I visited the Air and Military Museum. The staff there was very nice to us and let Edison sit in a few different vehicles! He really liked the helicopter and jet. He looked right at home! We ran a few errands and then had a BBQ with Grandpa Turner. The boys had fun building a bonfire and they showed Edison what happens when you throw baby formula into the fire. Edison thought this was very cool and spent a lot of time doing that. Then Emmett and Nathan showed Edison how to light and set off a fire work. He was nervous, but did it! My little city boy started showing some country roots. :) We were sad to leave Friday morning (although Edison was eager to get home again!) It was such a nice visit and we hope to be able to do it again soon! Maybe without the 100 degree heat! ;)
